La Siesta downtown closes

Sadly, CoMo’s lost another dining destination. La Siesta Mexican restaurant downtown on Walnut and Ninth streets recently closed its doors. But all’s not lost: According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, the north side location will remain open.    

Yummy’s to open in Columbia

In continuing news that’s making the “rounds,” Columbia’s about to get another perfect pastry place to start our mornings off right:  Yummy’s is coming! The shop, which will be at 200 N. Providence, will serve fresh, daily handcrafted doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches, kolaches, espresso coffee and more.

Goldie’s Bagels officially opens

Columbia’s newest spot for a breakfast classic has officially opened! Goldie’s Bagels, in the former Harold’s Doughnut site on Ninth Street, is making circular sensations that are the perfect coffee companion. According to their website, the shop offers bagels “made by moms for your mornings, meetings and mazel tovs.”
