Colors can make or break a person’s look. And now, folks in Columbia have a chance to get a total makeover using the power of primary colors. Owner Ashley Shryock opened the new House of Colour franchise just east of Columbia on Aug. 25. This came after she went through a week of training at the headquarters in Kansas City where she became a certified color consultant.

The goal of House of Colour is to help individuals discover their natural beauty through colors and style. “In color analysis, I drape customers with our 144 precision dyed drapes to help them first find out if they need warm or yellow based colors, or cool/blue based colors,” she says. Then, the color matching goes further by figuring out if the client represents autumn, spring, winter or summer. “Clients leave with precision dyed fabric swatches of the 36 colors in their season, an informational booklet of tips for color combos, hair colors, jewelry colors, the ratings of the colors on them from their season and makeup that is in their season,” Shryock says.

The company, which is based out of the United Kingdom, has just reached its 200th consultant in the United States. “The company has grown rapidly in the last year and shows no signs of slowing,” Shryock said. “This is such a valuable service for anyone.”

The new franchise is located just east of Columbia in Kingdom City near Shryock’s Corn Maze. For more information, visit houseofcolour.com.
