The Bee’s Knees is a cocktail that’s special to me right now because it uses hyper local ingredients and embodies what we are trying to do at Ozark Mountain Biscuit & Bar with the bar program. We think it is important to honor the classics while innovating and experimenting with new things.

The Bee's KneesOur Bee’s Knees is a twist on a classic cocktail that typically mixes gin, lemon juice and honey. We spruce it up with lavender grown in our herb garden at the restaurant and honey from bartender Aaron Brown’s neighbors’ apiary, Liberty St. Honey Co. The key ingredients are from within a three-block radius to the restaurant and you can’t really get more local than that. Another twist we offer is your choice of traditional gin or how we like it, which is with your choice of tequila or mezcal.

In addition to this cocktail, we also offer the lavender-honey syrup at our barista station.
