This month’s First Friday in the North Village Arts District will celebrate the third and final art installations for 2022.

Set for 6-9 p.m. Friday, the free gallery crawl is held on the first Friday of each month, with live music, art and entertainment going on throughout the North Village Arts District. This month’s event also will celebrate the latest and final art installations of the year:

  • Music Row on Park Avenue features hundreds of feet of artwork on mesh panels. The work was done by a variety of artists including Laura Pintel, John Fennell, Kate Gray, Sawyer Wade and Shannon Webster, among many others.
  • Art Lives Here!, which is a large lit sign on the archway truss between Sager Reeves Gallery and Artlandish.
  • The Gymnast, a bronze sculpture by Larry Young at Love Columbia on Walnut Street.

Other installations added this year include sculptures in front of Cafe Berlin, Orr Street Studios, on 10th Street, at the St. James complex and the Walnut Patio; and murals on the Wabash patio, the stairwell between EquipmentShare and Artlandish Gallery and the pass through between Fretboard Coffee and Artlandish Gallery.

In addition to specials offered at participating venues, free hot chocolate and GoPo Popcorn will be available.

Participating venues include the Sager Reeves Gallery, Fretboard Coffee, Curations 573, Artlandish Gallery, DogMaster Distillery, Serendipity, Orr Street Studios, Rose Music Hall, Mareck Center for Dance, Coming Home and more. Each location will have a map/guide available for navigating the area.
