By The perfect spa day for your dog is right around the corner. Platinum Paws LLC is hosting a grand opening from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. today at 3410 W. Broadway Business Park Court, suite 107, with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce planned for noon.
Owner Melodi Wisswell says she has various activities planned for the day, including treats for both humans and dogs. “I am doing a free nail grinding and having a photo booth and an information booth. I will also have a raffle giveaway I plan on doing that will include a 10% off their next groom.” While the grand opening is Thursday, Wisswell says Platinum Paws has been open since May 15.
Along with classic grooming options, Wisswell offers creative grooming, including nail polish and coloring. “I just want to treat every dog as if they were my own and give them the ultimate spa day; I feel like every dog deserves the best,” she says. For each dog that comes in, Wisswell says she makes them a bandana. “Every dog that gets groomed gets one, and at some point, I hope to sell them along with collars and leashes.” Currently, Platinum Paws is only servicing dogs, but Wisswell plans to add cat options in the future. “I am hoping to hire an additional groomer; when I do that, we will potentially add cats to the booking as well.”
Whether you want to get your dog a bath or a full groom, Wissswell says Platinum Paws is a place for all. “Everyone is welcome. Come check it out and have fun!”
