Acola Celebrating First Birthday Plus Addition of Busch’s Florist

Acola Coffee

Acola Coffee is gearing up for not only a first birthday bash, but the addition of Busch’s Florist and Greenhouse right inside the shop. From 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, enjoy the celebration with giveaways, birthday treats, new merchandise, plants, flowers and more.

In addition to all the giveaways and treats, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. customers who purchase a drink will also get free hot mini donuts from Eat. Crepe. Love., a mid-Missouri based mobile crepe caterer. Customers will also get to try Acola’s newest creation, an espresso with a scoop of vanilla ice cream from Sparky’s Homemade Ice Cream, topped with a homemade sprinkle cookie.

This birthday represents one year since the official renaming of Acola Coffee. The coffee shop branched out from the name Three Story Coffee, which is a Jefferson City-based business, on April 1, 2022, saying in a post on Facebook, “Although our name has changed, we are still serving the same delicious, ethically-sourced Three Story Coffee products you know and love.”

Busch’s Florist also is based in Jefferson City, where it has been operating since 1890. This isn’t the first time Busch’s has operated in Columbia, as the business opened a Columbia location in 2014 that has since closed.

Acola Coffee is located in the North Village Art District at 300 N. Tenth St. The coffee shop is open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit acolacoffe.com.
