Get ready to enjoy a wide variety of music in Columbia.

This weekend, head to The Blue Note or Rose Music Hall for the Missouri Funk Fest, Metal Fest, Soul Fest and Folk Fest . Starting at 8 p.m. Friday, enjoy Funk Fest featuring Catdaddy’s Funky Fuzz-Bunker Band, Mk Ultra, The Grooveliner and The Fried Crawdaddies all at The Blue Note. At the same time, rock out to Tenant, Hang Your Hate, Goat Coffin and Trashgoat at Metal Fest at Rose Music Hall.

Then, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Blue Note, spend time at the Soul Fest featuring J. Artiz and The Mo’ Soul Collective, Nublvckcity, Blvck Spvde and Cemone James. Or, if soul isn’t really your thing, check out the Folk Fest, also set to start at 8 p.m. Saturday, at Rose Music Hall featuring Of Sea and Stone, Molly Healey, Daniel Lutz and Kelly Hunt.

If those genres aren’t for you, the series continues next weekend with the Blues Fest and Indie Fest at 8 p.m. Jan. 13 and the Punk Fest and Country Fest at 8 p.m. Jan. 14.
