By Snuggled in a small town with a population of 120 is the 31st annual Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival. Enjoy the tradition of community, family, friends and, of course, pumpkins from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Hartsburg is known as Missouri’s pumpkin patch due to its rich bottom soil, which produces unique and bountiful harvests of grains, grasses, fruits and vegetables. Started in 1991 as a celebration of the pumpkin and promotion for the village of Hartsburg, the event now brings in thousands of people each year.
There is one change to the festival this year: a $5 charge per car for parking, which can only be paid with cash. However, the event itself is free to the public.
