By Join in the Pascale’s Pals’ Auction starting tonight at 6 p.m. and running through Saturday, March 12. There are SO many cool things to bid on — more than 650 to be exact — in all kinds of areas: Blues and Cards tickets, auto detailing, gift baskets, get-away weekends and more!
If you’re the first bidder on any item, you could win $1,000! Each individual who starts the bidding on any item in the auction will automatically be entered into a drawing for the $1,000 “Money Cake.” If an individual starts the bidding on multiple items, their name will be entered each time (even if you don’t win the item itself). If you haven’t done so already, register here!
Pascale’s Pals is a local volunteer organization whose mission is to bring happiness to the children receiving care at MU Health Care’s Children’s Hospital and ease the burden on their families. Volunteers believe that happiness, love and prayer helps children heal quicker.
It was founded in 1995 by Sylvie Carpentier in honor of her daughter and cancer survivor, Pascale White. At the time, the organization began with the goal of purchasing enough TVs for all the pediatric rooms. That first goal was met very quickly and the organization has continued 25 plus years later. It has many long standing programs that benefit the pediatric patients MU Health Care’s Children’s Hospital, including:
- Wish baskets for children upon diagnosis of a life threatening or chronic illness
- Financial support for families in need
- Gifts and parties for children on Holidays and special occasions
