Making the transition from a day at the office to an evening date doesn’t require a stop at home to change. The key to wardrobe transformation is layering, and accessories are a must. Start with a base layer: your dress or evening look. If wearing a dress or skirt, make sure the length is office appropriate and pair it with a pair of neutral colored tights. Then, add a blazer or sweater with tall boots. Keep accessories and makeup at a minimum for the office.
To change for an evening out, ditch the sweater or blazer, add some jewelry and a touch of makeup and switch your boots for a nice, classic pair of heels. Swap your office bag for a striking, small clutch. Spray a dash of perfume, throw on a smile and you’re ready to go.
